I was planning to post this a few weeks ago before I left for Vacationland, but ran out of time. This summer has been filled with so many good things for The Haberdash and The Swapaholics, I almost forgot I had a style blog. But hopefully as outdoor market season slows down, I will have more fashion things to share with you. Anyways, last month I had the pleasure of hanging out with the crew from Boldfacers while we filmed a little video about the Haberdash.

I’ve seen Tyra’s work before while skimming around on the interwebs. So when I opened a email from her to offering to photograph the Swap, I was super excited, I knew her vintage vibe would capture our event and our mini photoshoot beautifully.
Before every swap I like to host a mini photoshoots with my blogger friends just for fun. Planning events are stressful and the shoots are a nice break from the craziness of the day.

to part with, making sure they’re in excellent condition (think quality not quantity).

*We will provide you with a map of the new boutiques and restaurants
in the Canal District offering special deals for swappers.

Our trip to LA was “work trip” but Melissa and I had a little down time for other things like riding the ferris wheel on the Sana Monica Pier, grabbing coffees on the Fred Segal patio, shopping at Melrose Trading Post (alongside Dexter and Deb Morgan) and helping our favorite entrepreneur decorate her new Beverly Hills pad. These are my favorite photos of our down time:

We are back from LA and on Cloud 9 from our experience. Melissa and I learned so much from this trip that we would have never have learned if we didn’t step out of our nest (Boston). We have a very loyal following in New England so this trip was kinda like momma bird pushing us out of the nest to see if we could fly on our own. We are super excited to apply what we learned to future swaps and continue to grow The Swapaholics. But enough with the blah blah…Some pictures for you:

If we are Twitter friends you are probably sick of hearing me talk about the Worcester Swap. I just love our Swap location in the Canal District, the building is beyond beautiful. I asked Anne if she would do a quick little photo shoot with some of my blogger friends the day of the Swap, just to capture how much I love this building.  Jen and Julie posted their photos while Melissa and I were in LA, there was just a few more:

Finally getting around to posting the pictures from May’s Worcester Swap. Melissa and I have been crazy busy with Swap stuff which we are not complaining about. We recently signed on some super rad interns to help us and they pretty much rock and life, so it looks like we will keep on top of things now.
I will post the photos from the LA Swap this week. I just had to post these photos from Anne Ruthmann. She was kind enough to drive the hour cover our event and do a rad photo shoot after the swap with some blogger friends of mine. The whole day way super fun and you can see all the photos here.

I have a lot to tell you about! Our first west coast Swap was pretty much amazing and I cant wait to show you the photos…but, I only have one more day here in LA. So it’s going to have to wait till Melissa are back on the east coast.

I guess Hollywood really is where dreams are made…We’ve been here for 24 hours and landed a front page mention on Racked LA…and I was excited about the $5 Fendi bag I found earlier today…small potatos.

I was up all night packing for our Swapaholic trip to L.A.  I should probably do some research and see whats hip there in fashion this week. My suitcase is filled with vintage sun dresses and rompers. I’m super excited for our Swap and also for some sweet flea market trips. Melissa and I are staying in Beverly Hills…not to shabby for a “work trip”!
