Is everyone watching The Hills? I know its no Sex In The City, But its my new guilty pleasure. No one can pull of the polished rich girl look like the girls from The Hills. I love checking out their outfits from week to week. Make sure you keep your eyes peeled for Lauren’s clothing line that debuts September 15 2007.

If you missed the show you can watch it here.

Madeleine Peyroux

Don’t you just love the voice behind the new Old Navy commercial?
That sweet yet soulful voice belongs to Madeleine Peyroux. You might remember her song “don’t wait to long” from this Dockers commercial last year. Her voice is like a time machine sending you back to 1942.

Go have a listen, you will love her.

Mindless Consumption

Posted by punky on Thursday August 16, 2007 at 11:57 am | Random |

With all this “go green” talk going on I’ve been learning a lot and in turn the more guilt I feel for the massive amount of consuming I partake in. One of my favorite bloggers over at the The Coveted just touched on the subject . Check it out Jennine’s thoughts here

DIY Scarf

Posted by punky on Tuesday August 14, 2007 at 7:51 am | DIY |

One of my favorite things to get in the mail is the Urban Outfitters Catalog. Because so many of their outfits can be easily recreated with vintage and DIY items.

This weekend I took an old tee shirt and I made myself a scarf like the one seen here
Half way done

It took about 20 minutes and cost me $0 (well I may have to buy the BF a new tee shirt…oops)

Tax FREE Weekend

Posted by punky on Wednesday August 8, 2007 at 2:18 pm | New England |

The Massachusetts sales-tax holiday rolls around this weekend. This is the fourth year the Bay State has offered the break to help retailers during the normally slack sales month of August.

Shoppers are expected to spend more than $500 million during the two-day tax holiday. I just hope while you’re all out spending your hard earned money, you remember my birthday is just two short weeks away.
