While the cats away…

The mouse will play(in her closet that is). Linnea is in Miami this week, and I figured while she’s gone I would list her vintage items on my website.
You see, when she moved in last month my house could have easily been mistaken for a vintage boutique(collecting is definitely in our blood). We both agreed to give up some stuff, and last night when I was looking through her pile I found this amazing Vintage petticoat (she obviously put this in the wrong pile, who wouldn’t want this?) Next thing you know, I’m vacuuming in a petticoat. Tonight, I promise I will add her stuff to the vintage store.

green works

As you might have read, one of my resolutions this year was to do my part to better the environment. I may be taking “my part” a little to seriously, running around turning off lights, unplugging appliances, recycling, replacing all the cleaning products with environment friendly alternatives. I’m trying really hard to Live green and Clorox just made my job a little easier with the Green Works line. Green Works is made with 99% natural biodegradable ingredients, is not tested on animals and bottled in recyclable packaging.

To learn more about doing your part go to TreeHugger.com and to help save our natural resources go here.

Off like a Prom Dress

Posted by punky on Monday February 25, 2008 at 10:25 am | New England, Steals & Deals |

I’m sure you have the most fabulous memories from your prom and I’m sure you have 676531456 photos to prove it! So why let your dress hang in your closet, when you could donate it and help another girl have a prom to remember. I’m guilty of it too, I’ve been holding on to my dresses for almost 10 years. But I really would love to be able to help another girl have a memorable prom. So I’m going to check with my little sister and cousin to see if they want any and then donate the rest.

Check out one of these sites to donate your dress:

Prom Spot

Operation Fairy Dust

Glass Slipper Project

If you live in the Central MA area and you would prefer to get some money for your dresses you can call:

Upscale Consign Mint

or

To Pj or not to Pj…That is the question

Posted by punky on Friday February 22, 2008 at 3:16 pm | Punky Poll |

I think I have spent 80% of my life wearing my pj’s. I put them on as soon as I get home from work then wear them all weekend long. Sometimes I’ll even wear them to work. There is just something about wearing pj’s that completely relaxes me. I swear they have some sort of sedative woven in to their fibers. So as I’m sitting here on this snowy Friday afternoon(in my Juicy sweatpants and Grail thermal), I’m wondering who else is addicted to there pajamas, Who else has a weird after work routine?
Please tell me I’m not alone.

Coming soon on The Hills

Posted by punky on Thursday February 21, 2008 at 6:56 am | Random |

I just came across this video, and need to share my excitement. Did you see that jacket Lauren was wearing with the big bow on the back? These episodes seem to be filled with drama, which I’m not really into…But, Whitney and Lauren are dressing better then ever! So starting March 24th, I will be glued to the tv again.

Who stopped the rain

Posted by punky on Wednesday February 20, 2008 at 11:09 am | Outfitted |

My new boots arrived yesterday and the rain finally stopped, So Emma and I got to play in the backyard for a little while. I was all excited to wear my moccasins to Boston for the night to see the Bon Savants play at Harpers Ferry, But we got lazy and decided to make dinner and watch the Heartbreak Kid instead. Very cute movie, and it even had some trendy outfits in it. Anyway it was nice to see the sun and dream of spring.

See other recent outfits here and here, Or view the new items in the Online Store click here.

Sunday Bloody Sunday

Posted by punky on Monday February 18, 2008 at 10:10 am | Beauty |

I received some bad news regarding the health of a love one Sunday morning. Then decided I would stay on the couch all day and feel bad for my self. Kyle let me have the remote, and didn’t even complain when I flipped to the Americas Next Top Model Marathon. Five hours later we are watching the episode where they are taping the commercials for the Wetslicks Fruit Spritzers Lip Gloss. Has anyone tried these lip glosses? Is it worth my time to go pick one up? They looked so yummy. I thought I was over my lipstick addiction. I guess not…well, off to Target I go.

This months Reader Appreciation Giveaway item is a black and white caplet (gossip girl inspired) from Speechless which retails for $48. The winner will be drawn on February 26th.
