Is anyone planing to partake in Buy Nothing Day this Friday?
I am, but only because I bargain shop all year long and cant stand crowds, also Friday is the only day I have had off in a very long time so my tush plans to stay in bed till noon.
I was making these for christmas gifts for my fellow dorky friends and decided to add some to the Etsy store. I also have WTF…what other phrases should I make?
Ahh, Childlike wonder…I often find myself amused with things that are intended for 5 years olds, like drawing hand turkeys and making snow angels. Apparently craft projects are no exception. This week I decided I would make Shrinky Dink necklaces* for my friends with the faces of their pets (it didn’t seem as creepy when I was doing it).
All you need to make your own is: directions, shrinky dink paper, a inkjet printer, a hole punch and a toaster oven.

I picked up the new Butch Walker album yesterday…amazing!
If you’re thinking to yourself I have no clue who that dude is…you’re wrong. Butch has been busy writing and producing some of the raddest artists out right now (Katy Perry, Pink, Hot Hot Heat, American Hi-Fi, Pete Yorn, Fall Out Boy and the All-American Rejects). But he also makes his own music. I know this is style blog, But I have the tendency to ramble on and on about the things I feel passionate about and Butch is one of them. I cant find any of his new song on video yet…but you can watch him sing my favorite song live here.
Kyle took me to see the Kings of Leon last night. It was a perfect night for dinner in the Theater District and a stroll through Boston Common, and it looks as though they will be filling the frog pond any day now. I cant wait to bring my little sister ice skating.

Today while Emma and I did nothing but lounge around on the couch and play in my closet, Kyle baked us a apple pie, prepared and cooked us a delicious pot roast dinner and even managed to get the whole back yard raked. I feel sort of guilty for being so lazy, but sometimes I just need some quality time with my couch and Runs House.
