Ohai 2009

I just did a assessment of my 2008 Resolutions, and I was quite proud of the results. 7 out of 10 of them completed with the 3 left being the least important to me.
#1. Live with out credit cards for all of 2008.
Completed this with ease (with exception of the week my ATM card broke)
#2. Pay off the rest of my visa bill ($3000)
Done…I’m completely credit card debt free.
#3. Finish taking Real Estate course.
Done, although going back to school was not as fun as I imagined.
#4. Sell some houses.
I did not sell any house’s, in this economy I figured I would leave that to the professionals.
#5. Take Salsa dancing lessons.
I forgot this was on my list…oops.
#6. Live Greener and do my part for the environment.
I’ve become a green freak, its a miracle Kyle has not suffocated me with my reusable tote bag by now.
#7. Spend more time with the family.
I feel like Ive done ok with this…But I still need to work harder.
#8. Spend less time on the internet.
Getting a Blackberry was one of the smartest things I did this year. I can now go days with out turning on my laptop.
#9. Try Jazzersize (it looks kinda fun)
Linnea told me Jazzersize was lame, so I gave up on that.
#10. Get back into selling my Vintage Items on my site
My Etsy store did extremely well this year, as well as my first attempt at selling at a outdoor market.
How did everyone else do with their resolutions(or Im I the only dork that still does these things)?
Yes, I know, I say this all the time…but how can you not love Janelle Monae? She is so flipping talented.
Oh yeah, and guess who is getting a shiny new website? This gal!
PunkyStyle.com 3.0 ( I have no idea what 3.0 means…but it sounds important) will be coming soon to a blogsphere near you.
I’ve got my love to keep me warm is one of my favorite Christmas songs. The first person to guess my all time favorite Christmas song (title & artist) will win a adorable Teal and Silver Embroidered Tunic from Madras641 Clothing.
I will post pictures of the Tunic tonight, Good luck!
With all this snow, I’ve had time to catch up on all my craft projects.
Every time I step in to a Urban Outfitters or Anthropologie store I want to snatch up all the decor letters. But with prices ranging from $14-$60 it wasn’t gonna happen. I did a little searching and found 10″ letters at the craft store for $3 with a little mod podge and sheet of scrapbook paper, I created this:

I think it would be a cute gift if it was made with a map of your friends city or a collage of photos maybe.
I snapped a quick picture of the new dining room set (please excuse the loft ladder) with my Blackberry. I have a teal bookcase and dainty chandelier in mind for this room as well. Do you like?

My dining room is getting a makeover. I thought since the weather here has been so crappy, I would take on a non fashion related project and share it with you. The most amazing white drop leaf vintage table has fallen into my hands and I’ve decided to build the most romantic shabby chic room around it. My inspiration:

And this flickr set.
Anyone else in love with romantic rooms?
When I was asked be a part of the Traveling Heimstone Project I was overwhelmed with excitement. What girl wouldn’t want to have gorgeous designer clothes sent to her door for her to play dress up with? The Jacket making it’s journey around the world was a secret until we received it. We had 3 days to style, shoot and ship the jacket to the next girl. I had picked up a tribal/ethnic print dress at Zara the night before, So naturally I wanted to wear all the new clothes at once. Here is my take on the Heimstone Jacket.
Jacket: Heimstone, Dress: Zara, Belt: Betsy Johnson, Shoes: Go Jane, Purse: Thrifted, Photos/Editing: Kyle & Carly, Location: Union Station
Sally Jane is the last girl to style the jacket, so be sure to check out her blog tomorrow!
Check out all the other Modepass girls here:
Alix, Betty, Lamechante, Germaine, Idhren, Elinkan, Selina, Rhiannon
I don’t have time for a full post today…I’m heading into Boston with my ladies for dinner, shopping and the Bon Savants show. I just wanted to remind you guys to follow the Heimstone Project. Any day now it’s going to be my turn to reveal the Traveling Heimstone, And I wouldn’t want you to miss it.

The Travel Heimstone Project has made it through its first week. Check out the girls outfits here:
Twelve girls, One piece of clothing.
The ultra hip French Designer Heimstone recently teamed up with twelve fashion bloggers from around the world (I was lucky enough to be one of them). The girls took turns styling the Heimstone clothing in their unique way, and Modepass followed the clothes as they traveled from country to country.
Alix from Cherry Blossom Girl is the first to reveal her outfit. My outfit will be coming soon… and you can following our travels here.
I went in to the city this past weekend with my aunts and cousins for some serious shopping and girl time. If you haven’t seen New York City around Christmas you are really missing out. The window displays alone are gorgeous, a definite must see. I hope someone finds my gloves I bought five seconds before I walked into H&M on 5th avenue, I left them in the jewelry department because I was too busy texting boys…oops.
