Friends in the press

My friend Amy from Artifakori was recently featured in a story on Channel 5 Boston. You can check out the video here. I’m so excited for her. Congrats Amy, see you at the Clothing Swap on Monday.
Dress you up in my love

I learned how to use my sewing machine last week (finally) and have been turning all my vintage dresses in to mini vintage dresses. I have about 20 to hem for the online store…busy busy.
Nothing sweet About me
I searched high and low for Gabriella Cilmi’s cd this weekend. In 3-16 days I will be one happy girl. I have a feeling you guys will love her too, she is full of sass.
But she believes in shoes and cars
Someone please take the internet away from me. Today I managed to spend more money on myself then I have in the past three months. It started with a simple bottle of lotion. Then before I knew it I was the proud owner of these:

and then these:
But the good news is I didn’t purchase (even though I still really want too) this:

Stach Saturday
I’ve done absolutely nothing today, except eat bacon and draw mustaches on my photos. Come waste some more time with me on Tumblr.

Warm and fuzzy

I think I’ve caught that winter hermit bug. All I want to do lately is wear warm cuddly sweaters and relax on my couch in warm cuddly blankets. Please feel free to wake me in April.
Please proceed with caution when leaving me in charge of anything warm and fuzzy. I just realized that I was supposed to sell this coat in the Etsy store for Linnea and I sort of just inherited it.
Tights are not pants

Recent conversation from the Rock Club I work at:
Carly: Rule #1 in rock ‘n roll is…Project into the microphone
Punky: Yup, and rule #2 is tights are not pants
I say tights are not pants all the time, But seriously what goes better with sequins then latex? My new philosophy is tights can be pants, But only amongst close friends.
Swap Facts

I just wanted to quickly address some of the emails I have been receiving about the swap.
Questions and Answers:
Q: Can I sell my clothes at your swap?
A: The swap is completely for charity. No items will be sold during this swap (unless you are purchasing beverages from the lovely Noelle).
Q. I cant make it to the swap but I want to donate. What do I do?
A: We will gladly accept clothing donations from now until February 2nd at the Lucky Dog or you can Email me to arrange a pick up of your items.
Q: Do I need to RSVP?
A: Nope, just show up. The more the merrier.
Q: Can I bring more then one bag of clothes?
A: Absolutely, All the leftover clothes will be donated to the Abby House.
Q: Why do you host a swap if you don’t make a profit?
A: Who wouldn’t want to play around in piles of clothes all night. I believe in giving back to your community and since I don’t have the financially ability do so, this is a proper way for me.
Q. Do you need help with anything?
A: Yes, thank you for asking! I’m currently looking for people to bring some sort of snack items, So if you work for a restaurant, pizza joint, bakery…whatever and you think they can donate something small to the event please email me. If you just feel like baking…that would be great too.
Also, I’m looking for donations for the raffle. If you own a local business or Etsy Shop and can donate a small item or gift certificate, that would be very helpful. All sponsors will have a permanent link on Punkystyle.com in return for their contribution.
Confessions of a Shopaholic
I think my “shopaholic” tendencies are much more under control then in previous years. But like most females I can still completely relate to this movie. What movies are you excited to see this season?
Not to get Personal
“Name Plate Jewelry” has been one of the top search terms for my blog for the last few years. Google has been sending hundreds of people each week to my blog ever since I posted about my Punky necklace back in 2006.
I thought it would be nice to give the people what they are looking for and post my favorite Etsy Shops for personalized jewelry. Click the photos to visit the shops.
