The South Street Block Party was super good times. Thank You, Dame for inviting The Haberdash out to JP. It was great to meet some of my internet friends in person and catch up with some of my favorite Boston ladies. Such a wonderful day. Thanks everyone.

The Haberdash is now on Facebook if you would like to become a fan.

It’s ready

SouthStreet

This Sunday Haberdash makes its first trip in to Boston.

Join the shops at South Street this Sunday July 26th for a Block Party and BBQ on the mall, Art, Music, Icy Treats and summer Refreshments, provided up and down the street.

Haberdash, will be parked at 68 South Street Sunday afternoon. If you like Dame, if you like 40 South, then you will have more vintage on a two block stretch for one afternoon than you could possibly ever hope for.

Ferris Wheels and The Hallway will be BBQing on the Mall, while summer refreshments and specials will be offered up and down the street: Ginger Lemonade punch at Dame, Icy Treats next door at McCormack and Scanlon. The Hallway will be serving up music and showing fantastic art for your Sunday stroll.

And secret spy specials are sure to be had at 40 South, Yesteryear, Petal and Leaf, Dame and other South Street shops. You’ll have to stop by to find out.

Then head on over to Salmagundi for the perfect end to your afternoon I hear that they’ve got something fun going on

pill

In a attempt to bribe my single lady friends in to taking me dancing, last week I was searching Google for images of skinny hipster boys at The Pill and came across this photo linked to a street style blog. Immediately distracted by all the rad outfits, I saved the link to share with you. Liana beat me to it,  but with all the emails I get asking for Boston Street Style I thought it was still worth a mention.

Shiny happy people

The Haberdash had another photo shoot yesterday. She likes the attention. This one was for a upcoming spread in Bay State Parent Magazine. I was going to polish her before the shoot, but chickened out and only did the back and side. Polishing aluminum was not very glamorous. I was covered in black spots for two days. But at least she looks pretty.

Ladies in the place with style and grace

If you attended the Canal District Swap their is a good chance you took our map and headed over to Alexis Grace Consignment. Before Alexis Grace opened I remember driving down Harrison street and dreaming about opening my own store in that very space. Tin ceilings and original hardwoods are very rare in the retail world. Knowing how much potential that store front had I was almost nervous going in their the first time. However the owners did not disappoint, the store has a beautiful layout and it was filled with quality clothing and even some handmade and vintage items.

If you would like to check out Alexis Grace it is located at 7 Harrison St. Worcester, MA.

Tweed River

This past weekend we attended Tweed River Music Fest. It rained for pretty much the entire weekend, So Haberdash didn’t have much time to open. But Bow Thayer and The Cassavettes were well worth sticking around for. I wish I had taken photos of the makeshift shelter we built out of clothing racks. But anyway, here are the few photos we took between the rain drops.
