Leftovers

Posted by punky on Monday September 28, 2009 at 10:03 am | Outfitted |

Today, I while tidying up the house a bit. I opened up the bags of clothes leftover from the last swap we filmed for Channel 7 News. I didn’t really get to look through any clothes at that swap, because I was so nervous about talking on camera. But, I knew my friends have impeccable taste and I should save the clothes for the next swap. Well I couldn’t have been more right. In that bag of leftovers I found: Nicole Miller Leather Skinny Pants (which I have claimed), the Phillip Lim Skirt I’m wearing in these pictures and quite a few other fabulous designer items that I have packed away for the next swap.

DIY Rings

Posted by punky on Sunday September 27, 2009 at 12:24 pm | DIY |

While shopping on West Broadway in NYC, Jen and I found this cool guy that would let you design your own jewelry and he would make it for you on the street right then and there. Which is pretty rad, I designed a teal and white two finger ring that I love and wear pretty much every day. I loved it so much, when I got home I decided I was going to make them for all my friends.

I hope they like them:

Pretty sure the cable company will understand if I purchase this ring with the payment that was meant for them. After all its their fault I am obbsessed with True Blood.

Corn Maze

Posted by punky on Tuesday September 22, 2009 at 12:51 pm | New England, Outfitted |

I know it seems a little corny ( hehe)…Kyle took me to the Sauchuk Farm Corn Maze on Saturday, I grew up in a big city and he grew up on a small farm just outside of the city. I always tell him how lucky he was. I would have loved to grow up on a farm, I would have played in corn fields all day and named all the goats after my favorite TV shows. I think this was as close as I’m going to get.

Dragons Heart

Posted by punky on Monday September 21, 2009 at 11:14 pm | Accessorized, New England, Punky Loves |

At StArt on the Street on Sunday I acquired what could possibly the coolest piece of handmade jewelry I have ever seen. I’ve been on a accessory kick lately(OK, maybe a shoe kick also). As Kate and I were walking around the market discussing how its hard to find really unique jewelry. We stumbled on to the Dragons Heart booth. This whimsical booth was filled with some of the coolest stuff I’ve seen all season. I grabbed this chain mail bracelet and claimed it as my own in about  0.2 seconds. I think the people running the booth thought I was a crazy person, I was mumbling about fashion week and Sass and Bide. Maybe some of you will understand my love for chain mail.

Dragons Heart does not have a Etsy Store yet. But you can email them @dragonsheartchainmaille@yahoo.com

Pet Rock…Rocks

Posted by punky on Saturday September 19, 2009 at 8:36 pm | New England, Outfitted |

If you didn’t bring your dogs to Pet Rock this year, I think you owe them an big apology. Seriously, who ever thought up the idea to hold a music festival for dogs is brilliant.  Emma and Penny played with their puppy friends, went swimming, tested out all sorts of new snacks and even made some new friends. They were so exhausted  after that day, we couldn’t get them off the couch for a week.

Which one is Emma?

Bay State Parent Magazine

Posted by punky on Friday September 18, 2009 at 8:38 am | Haberdash, New England |

The Haberdash photo shoot I did with Bay State Parent Magazine is in this months issue. I’m so proud of all the love Haberdash is receiving. We only opened our doors five times and I have been completely overwhelmed by the positive feedback.  I am currently working on adding a few more stops for fall and paying the Dive and Dame another visit.  As for the winter…The Hab will have a online store at HaberdashVintage.com but also might be able to remain open…but I’ll save all those details for later!

Have a wonderfull weekend!

IFB Dress Up Soiree

Back to reality…New York was wonderful.  Jen and I spent a few days in Soho shopping and attending blogger parties. It was so great to meet the gals that I have been corresponding with for years.  The Dress up Soiree was really fun, Jennine of The Coveted and Jordana of Clutch22 were so kind and welcoming. I also got to meet the Peeps from Weardrobe, who were so friendly and really inspiring.

You missed my birthday

Posted by punky on Tuesday September 8, 2009 at 7:04 pm | Note from punks, Random |

My 29th 21st birthday was last weekend. It involved all the things I love: family, friends, haberdash cakes, puppies, moonwalks, kyle, photo booths, honeymoon, vintage and handmade items, bedazzlers, and ice cream. I dont think it gets any better then that.
