New Hat Day

Posted by punky on Tuesday January 26, 2010 at 8:23 pm | Accessorized |

I got a new hat this weekend, I think every single one of my friends made fun of it. I also got a new shiny red tea pot…but no one made fun of that.

Wearing: new hat (hence the new hat post), this vintage bag, vintage jumper and belt soon to be in Haberdash Vintage and Vivienne Westwood suede ankle booties.

Meet Cooper

Posted by punky on Saturday January 23, 2010 at 4:34 pm | Note from punks |

Last night Kyle and I went to Connecticut, to grab some dinner and hit up some thrift stores. After missing Sheldon all day, I decided I was ready to look at new baby hamsters. Three pet stores later, we brought home a baby girl named Cooper.

It’s in the bag

When I first started this blog in 2005, I had a weekly feature called “Whats In Your Bag”. I would beg my girlfriends (and sometimes strangers) to show me what items they carry around on a daily basis. When I found this group on Flickr last week it inspired me to bring back that feature. So be prepared to show me your bags ladies.

My bag this week:

Bag: Converse with racoon tail key chain, Keys, Blackberry, Andy Warhol notebook, Flip Cam, Nars Blush in Orgasm, Bad Gal Lash, Wet &Wild glitter polish, MAC lip gloss C-thu, Sue Uemura eyelash curler,  Chanel pressed powder, Chanel Lip gloss, vintage eel skin wallet, Rayban Wayfarer, Women, Work & the Art of Savoir Faire (stolen from Cassie’s bookshelf last week).

Gatsby

Artifaktori’s Dress Up Soriee was a dapper good time. Lots of glam, lots of laughs and maybe a little too much champagne. Upstairs on the Square is always a lovely time,  it’s just the perfect place to head to when your all gussied up.

Reposting this event for my friends at Artifaktori.

Join us this Wednesday, 9-11pm, to celebrate the American Repertory Theater’s opening of Gatz, with the Weekly Dig over at Upstairs on the Square! In theme with Gatz, a touring show based on The Great Gatsby, the ladies of LUPEC (Ladies United for the Preservation of Endangered Cocktails) will be mixing 1920’s inspired cocktails and Artifaktori, Poor Little Rich Girl and Vintage Revenge will show off glamorous deco fashions. Come by for a savory sip and socializing with a costumed crowd.

My Little Eye

Posted by punky on Sunday January 17, 2010 at 8:12 pm | Etsy Love |

My little eye is the sweetest little Etsy shop filled with all handcrafted jewelry from sterling silver, mineral specimens and rough gemstones. I’ve been searching for the perfect crystal ring ever since I posted those photos from luxirare.com a few weeks back. These might just be perfect, do you love them?

Ora

For obvious reasons I have always had a soft spot for recycled leather bags (remember Ashley Watson). Ora is a newish line  that is designed and created on Vancouver Island by Randi Obenauer.  I love that you can still see what they were before they were reworked.

More Outfits Posts in 2010

Posted by punky on Wednesday January 13, 2010 at 12:33 pm | Outfitted |

I was looking at old flickr photos yesterday and found my flickr “outfit” set had 1,132 photos and the last photo I took was in November. I’m pretty certain I’ve gotten dressed since then. I don’t know when or why I decided taking outfit pictures was too much work, but I miss it terribly. I supposed I’ve discovered my first New Years Resolution that doesn’t revolve around bacon or bunnies.

Wearing: Modcloth Dress, Mark Jacobs knit socks (thank you Cassie), Forever 21 caplet, GO Jane shoes (that Ive had for years and still cant walk in), and my pup Penny.

This ring here represents my heart

Once you quote Beyoncé there is a shortage of good songs about rings left.  But you can never go wrong with J.T. lyrics. I’ve noticed my ring collection has doubled in size over the last few months and thought I would share my new favorites. Anyone else have a addiction to rings?

Happy New Year

Posted by punky on Wednesday January 6, 2010 at 12:30 pm | Haberdash |

I’m kinda late to this Happy New Year thing. I’ve spent most of 2010 in my pajamas drinking tea with a yucky head cold. Although it did give me a little time to work on the Haberdash website (that will be fully stocked for February 1st)!  We will also be hosting giveaways with some super rad bloggers and offering up discount codes all month long, follow us on Facebook and  Twitter for the latest updates. Oh and Happy belated New Year!

We are in NEET!

I posted this over at Haberdash Vintage, but it’s super cool and worth a mention. We are in NEET Magazine this month, Which is a huge deal to me. Some of the coolest people on the inter-webs have been featured in NEET.
