I think im finally starting to settle into the whirl wind of changes that have come from the past six months. I really want to ease myself back in to posting here. When things started to take off with the Mobile Shop and the Swaps, it was hard to post here about normal everyday things. I was afraid people were just here to get Haberdash/Swap info and didn’t really want to see my outfits or 87489 photos of Emma and Penny. I got so caught up in trying to be the “face” of these two companies that it just wasn’t fun to post here anymore.
It wasn’t till my friend Jen posted a poll on her blog asking readers what they wanted to see more of that I realized…that this is still my space (not Haberdash’s or The Swapaholic’s) MINE…all mine. We have to stop catering to what we think people want and just be ourselves. I am fully aware that I took it in the direction of a business blog, so I’m taking it back…Bring on the puppy and outfit photos!

I cant be the only person that does this, but as soon as I walk in the door, I have to take of all my jewelry (which lands all over the house as I walk around). Then I head straight for the yoga pants and comfy tank tops. I’m pretty much never dressed if im in the house. So today as I was cleaning up my trail of clothes and jewelry I left behind last night, I figured I would take some photos of my recent favorite jewels (that get left strung around the house most often).

Not jewels, but also in love with my Balenciaga (from The Closet), this pink biker jacket from F21 and my old vintage hat from Artifaktori.

I have super exciting news!! The Swapaholics are going to Austin! We are sponsoring the Texas Style Council Conference and hosting our first Texas Clothing Swap on March 11th. This outfit post is a little bit different from the other swap outfits. In this post im wearing clothes that will be available in this thursdays swap.
The Closet Boston seeds our Boston Swaps with designer clothes before anyone arrives. So today I opened one of the bags heading to the swap to show off some goodies. I was originally going to wear the outfit with some Mark Jacobs pumps (size 8, also going in to the swap) but they weren’t conducive to climbing in snow banks.

This weekend has been filled with suburban lifestyle staples like, kids bowling partys, Fire Department Meat Raffles and trips to the dog groomers with your super fierce pomeranian. Having to post outfit photos of your day at the meat raffle is a funny thing. If that dosen’t keep you modest, I dont know what will. I hope your long weekend was a bit more adventurous.

With it being 7 days till our Huge Swap Day event I figured it would be cool to post some swap outfits leading up to it.
