I need some help from you stylish ladies. My friend Jackie sent me an email asking for my input on accessories that would go with this dress, But since I have a dress in the same color that I never wore, I’m guessing I’m the wrong person to ask. So how would you guys wear this Banana Republic dress?

OOH ooh ooh! Glam Gladiator! Gladiator sandals and belt with or without matching gaudy necklace in browns. Unfortunately I do not have gladiator accessories but I do actually have a dress similar to this style and color. I actually wear it in winter with other things because my skin tone doesn’t seem to match. For this outfit I do charcoal grey skinny jeans with plum riding boots and a short sleeve broad-necked brownish/plum tee underneath, with some long wooden beads. I also have worn a knitted hat that matches the dress color, and it really is what ties everything together. Hope I gave you something to work with, let me know what you two come up with!

The dress is very cute, but if I was to wear it I would team it up with really killer statement heels in a similar colour to the dress. I don’t think I’d wear a lot of jewelry with it (maybe a dark bold bracelet) ..instead I’d have focus on the make-up = smoky eyes and pale lips and the hair = wavy and boho-chic. And in the end I’d throw in a dark edgy clutch. Haha this got me really carried away into stylist-land :p I’ll try to send you a Polyvore to show it better

It was funny when I saw this post because, that’s my boyfriends sister in that ad for Banana Republic. She is a frequent model for them as well as commercials of all kinds.
I think I would mix it up with a long necklace maybe something a bit louder because the dress is really simple. I think some bronze or other dark metallic shoes would be really neat as well.

I’m a minimalist when it comes to jewelry, but I’d echo the shoes with the earrings and focus on using jewel tones for the outfit. But then, that’s what *I* look good in – could look disastrous on someone with a different coloring.

Definitely don’t wear that dress with those shoes. I would introduce color here. Maybe the shoes could be leopard print, aubergine, emerald green or even orange. For a bag, opt for an envelope bag. For jewelery, go with Indian inspired jewelery and tie in the shoes with the jewelery or with a bracelet in the same color. the shoes and bag shouldn’t match.
