Quick pictures from the Oscar Tweet Up, which was my first visit to a Speakeasy.  Shoestring and Fafarazzi sure know how to throw a party. I wish I could get all dressed up to watch TV and play on Twitter every night.

The official pictures are here.

The Ames

Posted by punky on Tuesday March 2, 2010 at 9:23 pm | New England, Outfitted |

My friend Cassie and I attended a Boston Magazine party at The Ames Hotel last night. I pulled this dress out of Haberdash last minute because I was sick of everything in my closet. I wish I took a picture of the back. It has cute purple bows all the way down the back like the leopard Rodate dress. I also pulled out my DIY spike bag and stud jacket that Ive hadn’t worn since November. I was kinda over doing the DIY for a while, it needed a break.

I left for NYC the day after the Swap and still haven’t unpacked…I think I will save the Swap update for our new Swapaholic’s website that should be LIVE by the end of the week!!

Thank you all, for attending the Swap to benefit the Worcester Historical Museum. Also huge thanks to Alexis Grace for donating  a ton of beautiful clothing.

More Outfits Posts in 2010

I was looking at old flickr photos yesterday and found my flickr “outfit” set had 1,132 photos and the last photo I took was in November. I’m pretty certain I’ve gotten dressed since then. I don’t know when or why I decided taking outfit pictures was too much work, but I miss it terribly. I supposed I’ve discovered my first New Years Resolution that doesn’t revolve around bacon or bunnies.

Wearing: Modcloth Dress, Mark Jacobs knit socks (thank you Cassie), Forever 21 caplet, GO Jane shoes (that Ive had for years and still cant walk in), and my pup Penny.

Day Tripper

Posted by punky on Sunday November 29, 2009 at 3:48 pm | Outfitted |

Hope you all had lovely a holiday!  Mine was filled with good friends and lots of family time,  I couldn’t have have asked for anything more. Thanksgiving always turns me in to a big sappy love bug. When I starting thinking about the things I have to be thankful for and realize the list never ends.  I get a little overwhelmed. I have had a pretty wonderful year and I’m really glad I had so many truly awesome people to share it with.

Now that sap-fest 2009 is over…I took Kyle to NYC on Saturday. He had never been, so we did all the touristy type stuff. Which I secretly enjoy as much as shopping….Just don’t tell the other fashion bloggers. It was nice to show him all the things I love about the big apple and I think he now understands why I never want to leave there.

Wearing: Chanel sunglasses, Rick Owens jacket, Haberdash ruffel blouse, DIY jeans, Vintage Boots, Sisley Bag and a fancy new hair color, thanks to Kate.

Punky loves Owens

It’s official, I’m in love with my new Rick Owens Asymmetric  Jacket. It’s kinda like the when you meet someone for the first time and you know they will be a huge part of your life. When I tried it on I knew this jacket was going to be a huge part of my wardrobe. I just hope its not afraid of commitment.

Wearing: Rick Owens Jacket, from The Closet Boston, Necklace from Lilian Asterfield, Dress: Forever 21, Boots: Vintage, Bag: Haberdash Vintage

And in more important news, Penny had surgery this week and is recovering adorably:

The Haberdash online vintage store is suppose to be ready to launch any day now…In preparation I’ve been testing out some of the faux furs that will be in the store. You know, quality control type stuff…right? OK my living room is filled with vintage coats and I cant help my self.

Down City

Posted by punky on Thursday November 12, 2009 at 2:47 pm | Outfitted |

I spent my entire weekend digging for treasures in a estate sale that my lawyer friend was having. Lots of fun stuff in this house, including old unopened Chanel perfumes. I also finally had the chance to check out the Rock and Roll Flea Market in Downcity. It was a lot smaller then I visioned it being however I did score two rad vintage shirts (one with a wolf and one with a tiger).

I also got a sneak peek at Calico’s Pop up shop. Which will be adorable, I can’t wait to take a trip back to see when its done.

I fell in love yesterday

At first I was feeling guilty for selling two pairs of my vintage over the knee boots, so I could afford these new Dolce Vita buckle boots, until I put them on that is.  In my defense, one pair of my vintage boots had no heel, so I always felt like a pirate looking for treasure and the other pair were made of a shiny leather, which was always a little to street walker esque. But I’m pretty sure these boots and I are going to have a long and committed relationship.

Happy Halloween

Posted by punky on Saturday October 31, 2009 at 11:55 am | Outfitted |

Busy day, I’m getting ready for the Design Hive market that is tomorrow, getting the house ready for trick or treaters and trying to decide on a costume for the Lucky Dogs Halloween party. Everyone brings their A- game to this party, But its really hard to bartend in a costume, I’m leaning towards Betsey Johnson or a 80’s prom queen.

These pictures are from yesterdays trip to Plymouth.

Blaze of Glory

I think I have a new favorite blazer, complete with huge shoulder pads and velor, It’s super fun and surprisingly warm, not like that would stop me from wearing it all winter. And how lovely is this Frock bag? My friend Nicolé owns Frock and we are trying to make room for some pieces in the Haberdash.

Here is a totally unrelated, but adorable picture of Penny. Ahh, They grow up so fast.

Wearing : Vintage Blazer, Vintage dress, Target leggings, Vintage Boots and Frock Handbag

2004-2009

The other day while looking for puppy photos of Emma on flickr, I came across some outfit photo from 2004, and quickly had a embarrassing realization that I have been narcissistic long before the internet encouraged you to be. Before Lookbook, Chictopia, Wardrobe Remix and back to the early days of My Style Diary. The thought of that makes me feel really old, but grateful to have seen this evolution of style communities. I wonder if the newer bloggers have never even heard of My Style Diary and have any idea that it was the pioneer in this “what are you wearing” culture of ours.

In honor of M.S.D. five year anniversary I thought it would be fun to do five years of outfits. Here we go…don’t laugh.

Target and Cinnabon

Posted by punky on Thursday October 1, 2009 at 12:34 pm | Outfitted |

I have been saving this dress to wear some place fun for about two months. I had planed to wear it to the Mendoza show and ran out of time and didn’t get the chance to change out of my jeans. So I wore it last night to Target and Cinnabon with my friend Adam instead.

Meet my new dog model Grace (she is not a ham like Emma, but cute as pie).

Leftovers

Posted by punky on Monday September 28, 2009 at 10:03 am | Outfitted |

Today, I while tidying up the house a bit. I opened up the bags of clothes leftover from the last swap we filmed for Channel 7 News. I didn’t really get to look through any clothes at that swap, because I was so nervous about talking on camera. But, I knew my friends have impeccable taste and I should save the clothes for the next swap. Well I couldn’t have been more right. In that bag of leftovers I found: Nicole Miller Leather Skinny Pants (which I have claimed), the Phillip Lim Skirt I’m wearing in these pictures and quite a few other fabulous designer items that I have packed away for the next swap.

Corn Maze

Posted by punky on Tuesday September 22, 2009 at 12:51 pm | New England, Outfitted |

I know it seems a little corny ( hehe)…Kyle took me to the Sauchuk Farm Corn Maze on Saturday, I grew up in a big city and he grew up on a small farm just outside of the city. I always tell him how lucky he was. I would have loved to grow up on a farm, I would have played in corn fields all day and named all the goats after my favorite TV shows. I think this was as close as I’m going to get.
