Weekend Dressing

Posted by punky on Tuesday December 13, 2011 at 12:14 pm | Outfitted |

I cant believe how fast the holidays are sneaking up on me. My christmas tree is bare, I haven’t done much shopping and I have no idea what I am baking for this Sunday’s Cookie Swap! So not ready for Santa to come. Last weekend I planned to get all my shopping done, but ended up goofing off with my favorite girlfriends and doing a little too much cuddling with puppies to make any dents in my shopping list, at least I got dressed.
Are you guys all ready for the holidays?

Back to basics

Posted by punky on Friday August 12, 2011 at 2:13 pm | Outfitted |

It seems like every summer I find one version of a simple outfit and stick to every day. This summer it’s these JCrew shorts and this army jacket. At least 3 days a week im wearing one of these two items. There is nothing special about either yet I cant take them off. What basics are you into right now?

What I Wore, DC

Posted by punky on Tuesday July 19, 2011 at 2:38 pm | Outfitted |

Last Thursday I was in DC on official Swapaholics business. On Swap Day its kind of a tradition to do some quick sightseeing before we start setting up our event. I like to think if we embrace the city we are in the swappers will embrace us! So this is what I wore on Swap Day.

Making a Statement

Posted by punky on Sunday July 3, 2011 at 8:50 pm | DIY, Outfitted |

If any of you are on Tumblr or Pintrest, you have probably seen the Free People June catalog reblogged hundreds of times. The day I was drooling over the warrior necklace, I happend to get an email from Lucky Magazine asking if I wanted to partake in a DIY statement piece challenge with Michael’s Craft Store. I quickly agreed, then ran out to spend the gift card they sent over. I bought some leather, beads, suede rope, and a few feathers. This was by far the hardest DIY craft project I have ever done. I was super happy with the way the necklace came out and $38 beats $325 any day!

Neon Night

Posted by punky on Tuesday June 28, 2011 at 11:03 pm | Outfitted |

Once you get out of the routine of taking outfit photos, the process feels really silly. We have a house full of fancy photo equipment and live a block away from the cutest little pond and I am on the back porch with a point and shoot, hoping none of the neighbors see me. Maybe having Julie in the Swap office will ease me back in to outfit posts. Till then:

Leaving on a jet plane

Posted by punky on Sunday June 26, 2011 at 10:22 pm | Outfitted |

I just got back from San Francisco last night, we (The Swapaholics) were there to host a event with Lulu’s.com (recap coming soon). I’m still trying to get this traveling thing figured out. My personality is pretty much a direct split between homebody and gypsy. I cant get out of town fast enough and by day 3 im on the verge of tears because I miss Adam and my family so much. Traveling teaches you so much about the things and people that are important to you. Any-who, I got to wear one of my scores from the #Swaplulus event today.

May Flowers

Posted by punky on Monday May 9, 2011 at 6:03 pm | Outfitted |

How was everyones weekend? Mine was filled with flower shops, family time, lunch dates, baby goats and puppies lots of lots puppies. Which is quickly becoming my favorite thing about spending time in the burbs. I think I am finally starting to understand that urge that people get to “settle down” I would LOVE to move away from the big city and spend all my time raising puppies, bunnies and little trailers.

New Orleans pt 2

Posted by punky on Tuesday May 3, 2011 at 2:37 pm | Outfitted, Window Shopping |

Our last day in New Orleans was spent site seeing in the French Quarter. We ate, we drank, we ate and drank some more. It was such a lovely day. I fell in love with that city, and I cant wait to go back. Please excuse the 800 photos, everything was so colorful. I couldn’t help myself.

Portsmouth Weekend

Posted by punky on Sunday April 10, 2011 at 9:26 am | New England, Outfitted |

As soon as I get a little taste of spring I want to spend all my time at the ocean. Adam was heading up to York Beach on Sunday to help our friend paint his new beach house. So I thought it would be nice to make a mini vacation out of the trip. We packed a bag or 3 and headed north. My friend Robyn so kindly offered to watch all 3 of my pups, but Penny crying in the window as we packed the car crushed my heart, so she tagged along too.

We spend a lot of time in Maine so we tried to explore a little of Portsmouth this weekend. Also the Sowa Market is expanding to NH this Summer and I thought it might be a nice fit for the Haberdash.

Over the weekend

Posted by punky on Monday April 4, 2011 at 10:29 am | Outfitted |

Friday night was date night, Adam has been working a lot at the Fire house lately. So by 5pm friday I couldn’t wait to get out of Boston and head home to him and the pups. We went out to a cute little steak house for dinner and stopped to see some friends quickly before heading home to snuggle with puppies.

Saturday was my friend Thais’s Birthday party, I spent the afternoon doing crafts and eating cupcakes. Then we had a mini slumber party, because we had early plans for Sunday.

Where we bought up every piece of vintage jewelry for me (no really dont even bother looking, wink wink) and every piece of antique fire fighter equipment for Adam. Penny was so exhausted from her her puppy slumber party, she slept the whole way home. Did you do anything fun this weekend?

Lake of Fire

Posted by punky on Tuesday March 29, 2011 at 9:21 am | Outfitted |

On Sunday while we were out and dressed for the Haberdash shoot, Adam and I played around with his new 5D camera. It takes amazing video, but I havent quite mastered the art of editing them. So all I have today is the photos…boo.

Haberdash Shoot

Posted by punky on Monday March 28, 2011 at 11:43 am | Haberdash, Outfitted |

This weekend was pretty low key, we laid around watching old hockey movies (does The Mighty Ducks even count as hockey)? I also went to my favorite Hot Dog Stand with 40 of my friends to create a mini flash mob. Then on Sunday Adam and I took the Haberdash over to our friends pond to do some promo shots for a upcoming magazine feature. It was 30 degrees out but the photos were suposed to be summeresque, I hope I fooled you. Do you like them?
