Discount Designer

I don’t know if the rest of you are as excited as I am about getting a hold of some of our our favorite designer fashions at cheap-cheap-cheap prices. We all know about Isaac Mizrahi at Target and Mossimo, and of course you all know about the GO International lines which have included cameos by Libertine, Paul & Joe, Patrick Robinson, Behnaz Sarafpour, Luella Bartley, and Proenza Schouler, and next up I’m excited to check out Alice Temperly’s line which is set to drop in October.

Next we can be excited about a collection by Erin Fetherston due out this holiday season, and now we’re finding out Jovovich Hawk, a collaboration between model Mila Jovovich and designer Carmen Hawk is coming in the spring. According to Jovovich the line will include the vintage-inspired mainstays similar to those of their classic collection, including tunics, minis, and smock dresses. Props to Target for keeping things fresh and continuing to bring us some truly outstanding designers.

More props to Target for taking this trend above and beyond what I could have dreamed, pushing Kohl’s to grab up Vera Wang, and of course the Madonna line at H & M and the Sarah Jessica Parker line at Steve & Barry’s. Obviously not everything is top quality, but you can’t beat the prices for those of us who don’t want to truly invest in the trends.

I totally agree, am am so happy to have found cheap ‘designer’ clothing. Although I haven’t bought my from Target, I did recently go to Steve & Barry’s, thinking I’d hate everything from SJP’s line, but ended up loving it! Not even all of her clothes are made in China! Also, I found out Amanda Bynes was doing a line of clothing through Steve & Barry’s, and I snagged a Made in the USA babydoll dress.

i just saw the alice temperly line…was really impressed. very very cute stuff. AND it’s not watered down. the tulip knitted dress is so cute. as are the boiled/felted wool cropped jkts in royal blue and black. it was a nice surprise after the libertine line, i was so disappointed w/ that group.

All the old stuff I wore as a child is coming back. Kinda scary and makes you feel old, but it looks great most of the time.
