Making a Statement

If any of you are on Tumblr or Pinterest, you have probably seen the Free People June catalog reblogged hundreds of times. The day I was drooling over the warrior necklace, I happend to get an email from Lucky Magazine asking if I wanted to partake in a DIY statement piece challenge with Michael’s Craft Store. I quickly agreed, then ran out to spend the gift card they sent over. I bought some leather, beads, suede rope, and a few feathers. This was by far the hardest DIY craft project I have ever done. I was super happy with the way the necklace came out and $38 beats $325 any day!

That thing you call a necklace is a breastplate and its highly inappropriate and offensive to see it worn in such a way.
