Mindless Consumption

With all this “go green” talk going on I’ve been learning a lot and in turn the more guilt I feel for the massive amount of consuming I partake in. One of my favorite bloggers over at the The Coveted just touched on the subject . Check it out Jennine’s thoughts here

oh dear… thank you for linking this post…

after talking about shopping addictions, i made it to 48 hours before i had a shopping binge. at least it was at american apparel, so it was kind of like switching to low-tar cigarettes.

I too get freaked about global warming.Guilt sucks. I try to amass it any way I can, though, i.e. recycling.

Yeah i hear ya emma. I’ve been using my reusable shopping bags. I brought mugs and silverware to work so i don’t have to use plastic or paper coffee cups.
jennine, when i get the urge to shop i clean out my closet and donate clothes. and if i still want to buy stuff i go in the thrift store…because then i would just be recycling not shopping.

I love the thrift shop, even thought my sister tells me I am dirty for going there, I actually believe I am helping.
I don’t know if you ever been here but I think its a wonderful site: fashion related.

ah, what a great idea! cleaning out the closet!
i seriously need to do that.
and, yeah, thrifting… it’s not that dirty. even if it were, it doesn’t stop me from doing it. but i’m not a good source, as food that’s been on the floor doesn’t stop me from eating it.
