I got a new hat this weekend, I think every single one of my friends made fun of it. I also got a new shiny red tea pot…but no one made fun of that.
Wearing: new hat (hence the new hat post), this vintage bag, vintage jumper and belt soon to be in Haberdash Vintage and Vivienne Westwood suede ankle booties.
I wouldn’t make fun of you – That hat is hot. The past two summers I’ve promised myself I’d buy a floppy hat and I still don’t own one. This spring/summer for sure!

I love that hat! It is so “Jennifer Lopez”! I think long hair is definite a “must” in order to pull this look off. I love the belt, and Vivienne Westwood is so edgy and “Punky”-pardon the pun, I couldn’t help myself! So befitting!!

What could possibly be made fun of about that hat? It could hold down an outfit all on its own – but the rest happens to be super-cute too! I know what you mean with friends occasionally not “getting” an ensemble. I suppose not everyone sees fashion as quite the vehicle of self-expression and experimentation that we do. That’s why I love to check out blogs and feel as though I’m among my own!

Jumpers are big right now, but it’s the styling that sets this apart from other full-length one-pieces. It’s the hat, the belt, the purse and I believe the fabric as well. It looks like a lightweight cotton as opposed to the silken fabrics you see more often used on these onesies. I like it’s vintage, rustic essence. And I like her little dog too ; )
