In the new Sex and the City movie Carries assistant had a rental Louis Vuitton from Bag Borrow or Steal, until Carrie bought her a Louie of her own for Christmas (I may have shed a tear at that part of the movie). I know I have blogged about the handbag rental websites before, But I came across a new one the other day that rents pretty much any thing you can think of (power tools, vacation homes, bicycles, tuxedos, costumes, prom dresses, snowboards, boats, furniture and a million other things you would never think you could rent. I don’t think I’m sold on the whole idea yet. Has anyone done it? What are your thoughts? Are you afraid you would loose or brake the item and have to pay for it?

I still don’t think
I could muster up
the fact of having

i’m comfortable with the idea although i’ve never done it. i’ve always thought about someday renting a designer wedding dress instead of spending a ton on a regular one that will sit in the back of my closet forever

I like the wedding and prom dress idea. Because those are a huge waste of money.
