The new Swap.com Market is finally here, and you can now turn anything you have into anything you’ve ever wanted!

Swap that sundress that you no longer love for that perfect pair of neon pumps or a gently used purse for a Groupon deal to your favorite Karaoke lounge. We built this site and the app to connect swappers around the world!

My earliest memories of swapping were my childhood Sundays at my grandmothers house. Every Sunday my aunts would bring clothes that didn’t fit them or their children anymore and they would swap them over a cup of tea. I never thought of what they were doing as Swapping, but fast forward 25 years and I’m help build an iphone app to recreate those sundays.

If you like the idea of swapping, but dont know where to start, I made a list of fashionable bloggers that I love to swap with. Just click the name and follow them (bloggers if I missed you, send me your screen name).

Last week we hosted a small event called Snob Swap for our Boston press and blogger contacts in our Swap.com office loby. The Closet was on hand passing out designer goodies to all the attendees. It was a cocktail hour like event with the option to swap two designer items with another blogger (a totally different format then our free for all events). We added some of the designer leftovers to the Swap Market, which now has an Iphone app which you can download here.

I’ve been eating cookies for 4 days straight…Thank you so much for baking, swapping & helping us raise $1,000 for pediatric cancer research at Cookie Swap for a Cause this past Sunday! The event was so much fun and super super yummy!

Wednesday was all about the hustle and bustle of Boston holiday fun! Our morning was crazy at the Swap office. Our Cookie swap hasn’t even happend yet and World Swap Day planning is in full effect! We also launched the Swap Market this week! I know I have been talking about this site for the last year, but you can now swap anything you have for anything you want ONLINE! Crazy right?

After work we headed out into the neighborhood to support the South End Holiday Stroll. There were carolers in Peters Park, pletny of egg nog to go around, and discounts at some of my favorite South End shops.

I picked up a new purse, necklace and rug at the Sowa vintage market….

and stopped into Flock for a few sparkly christmas gifts.

Then we headed over to the Boston Blogger Yankee Swap at Mass Ave Tavern….

and bumped in to Alana and Amy….

I’m pretty sure half of the reason I paid the outrageous early upgrade fee on the iphone was because I was addicted to Instagram (the other half was because I was the only one in the office without our Swap.com app). This weekend was my first Boston event with The Haberdash. It was Fathers Day and it was super cute to see all the dads out shopping with their daughters. My dad hadn’t returned my call for 3 days (he’s not that good with technology). So they just came over to watch tv with us after our long day at Sowa. I picked a few dates for Sowa if you want to come visit us: July 24, Aug 14, Sep 25 and Oct 16th. If you are not in Boston this summer check out our online shop.

Thursday was our Earth Day Clothing Exchange at The Fourth Wall project. We had Pacifco and Cakeology on hand to keep us well fed and hydrated. The Closet Boston donated a truckload of designer items to seed the Swap, so if you weren’t there you missed out BIG time (don’t let it happen again). If you read this blog regularly you might notice my obsession with photo booths. I try to include them in every occasion, but I think the one I created for this event takes the cake.

Friday night was date night, Adam has been working a lot at the Fire house lately. So by 5pm friday I couldn’t wait to get out of Boston and head home to him and the pups. We went out to a cute little steak house for dinner and stopped to see some friends quickly before heading home to snuggle with puppies.

Saturday was my friend Thais’s Birthday party, I spent the afternoon doing crafts and eating cupcakes. Then we had a mini slumber party, because we had early plans for Sunday.

Sunday we meet up with Adam, Chris and Julie for pancakes and opening day of Todds Farm. Where we bought up every piece of vintage jewelry for me (no really dont even bother looking, wink wink) and every piece of antique fire fighter equipment for Adam. Penny was so exhausted from her her puppy slumber party, she slept the whole way home. Did you do anything fun this weekend?
