It never rains in LA

We arrived safely in LA (16 magazines and 8 episodes of Teen Mom later). Melissa and I spent the day checking out Catchlight Studios and the neighborhood around it for tomorrow’s Swap. We hit up Wasteland, American Vintage, Slow, and Goodwill and then drove 986986 miles to find a Target for some last minute supplies (clothes hangers and a Joan Rivers DVD). All while it poured buckets on us…what’s up with that sunny LA?

I’m heading off to the west coast bright and early in the morning to host The Green the Red Carpet Clothing Swap with my fellow start up buddies The Second Glass. This reminded me that I never posted our Swap Day video. My male BFF Joey made me this video (which is really long but has good music) to show people exactly what happens at our clothes swaps. I hope you’ll watch.

Also while I have you here, I have to show you the bags we have for our Austin, Texas Swap. My friend Jen (jenloveskev) and her husband made them for us. I cant wait to give them out to all the Texas Style Council attendees.

I guess I should tell you guys about my celebrity encounter, while I was in San Diego I interacted with super blogger Gregg O’Connell. Who is this Greg character I speak of? Well over a year ago one of my friends sent me a link to a video, which I found extremely hilarious, as did everyone I sent it too. We watched his video so much we knew his dance routine down to the hand motions. Then for the next year we proceeded to perform that dance anywhere and anytime the song girls just want to have fun came on. Then one fine day I was surfing the world wide web looking for fun blogs to add to my blog roll and came across his again. I decided to leave him a comment confessing my infatuation with his dance moves. A minute later he emailed me back telling me he grew up in MA also and instantaneously we were blogging BFF’S…True story!

You can read about our encounter here…Gregg was very modest and left out the fact that our dinner got interrupted every five minutes from crazed fans wanting his autograph.

Some quick news before I head to cali, this weekend is the Open Market in New Bedford. I’m heartbroken because I will miss it, But you should check it out there are a bunch of cute stores in that area.

Lily Allen is in this months Nylon and will be on the Jimmy Kimmel show December 5th which is beyond awesome.

My cousin Linnea from Linnea Dates is going to be filling in for me this week, I told her she could write about whatever she likes (although posting bad pictures of me is out of the question) She’s a terrific writer so your in for a treat.

One more thing…while I’m in California I’ll be visiting the infamous Gregg O’Connell We have big plans to make a kick ass music video, So you should be watching for that. Have a great week everyone
