Garland Photo Booth

The DIY Confetti System-ish garland that I created just for Orchid Grey’s wedding was featured in the Holiday issue of House of Fifty in Kim Myles column…as in Design Star and TV host Kim Myles…so awesome.

The cover story i styled for Worcester Magazine is out! Yay!

A few weeks ago Worcester Magazine asked me to style an upcoming issue about secondhand shopping in Worcester using clothing from local thrift, vintage and consignment shops. You can read the story online here and see all the photos here.

My favorite behind the scene photos from the two days of shooting:

Haberdash Season

Posted by punky on Wednesday June 22, 2011 at 2:10 pm | Haberdash, New England |

This weekend was my first Boston event with The Haberdash. It was Fathers Day and it was super cute to see all the dads out shopping with their daughters. My dad hadn’t returned my call for 3 days (he’s not that good with technology). So they just came over to watch tv with us after our long day at Sowa. I picked a few dates for Sowa if you want to come visit us: July 24, Aug 14, Sep 25 and Oct 16th. If you are not in Boston this summer check out our online shop.

StArt Me Up

Posted by punky on Sunday May 22, 2011 at 10:53 pm | Haberdash, New England |

This weekend was the season opener for my mobile shop, Haberdash Vintage, and I was kinda excited it was in my home town. I love Boston, but StArt on the Street events are so much fun! It’s like having 500 of your friends at one big party. The city of Worcester comes out in full force and you end up talking to people that you grew up with and havent seen in 20 years and your best friends all at the same time. It’s just an amazing event that brings the community together!

Haberdash Shoot

Posted by punky on Monday March 28, 2011 at 11:43 am | Haberdash, Outfitted |

This weekend was pretty low key, we laid around watching old hockey movies (does The Mighty Ducks even count as hockey)? I also went to my favorite Hot Dog Stand with 40 of my friends to create a mini flash mob. Then on Sunday Adam and I took the Haberdash over to our friends pond to do some promo shots for a upcoming magazine feature. It was 30 degrees out but the photos were suposed to be summeresque, I hope I fooled you. Do you like them?

StArt at the Station

Posted by punky on Monday December 6, 2010 at 12:48 pm | Haberdash, Outfitted |

Is it me or are the weekends going by much to fast nowadays? This weekend was StArt at the Station, Worcester’s favorite holiday art fair. The Haberdash was invited to vend, which we were super excited about. As much as we love Sowa its really nice to vend markets with a 4 vs 60 minute drive once in a while. The market was jammed all day, so I didn’t get a chance to do any christmas shopping. I’m so far behind with my list this year, it looks like everyone might be getting Haberdash items (hope you like vintage).

I grabbed a few shots of the day with my new pocket sized Canon.

New Brahmin and Haberdash

Posted by punky on Monday September 27, 2010 at 10:04 pm | Haberdash |

A few months ago Liana from New Brahmin and I talked about doing a photo shoot together featuring Haberdash clothes. I love the whole New Brahmin team, but I was so nervous to work with real stylists that I admire. Then I ran in to Janine at Sowa and I realized I was being a wuss and there was nothing to be scared about. The next week I was on vacation in Maine so I invited them to do the shoot there. I also brought along my friend Julie (she wears Haberdash really well) and my favorite photog Adam.

The results are on New Brahmin, and here are some other photos that I loved from that day:

Boldfacers Feature

Posted by punky on Thursday September 2, 2010 at 9:56 am | Haberdash, I heart vintage, Note from punks |

I was planning to post this a few weeks ago before I left for Vacationland, but ran out of time. This summer has been filled with so many good things for The Haberdash and The Swapaholics, I almost forgot I had a style blog. But hopefully as outdoor market season slows down, I will have more fashion things to share with you. Anyways, last month I had the pleasure of hanging out with the crew from Boldfacers while we filmed a little video about the Haberdash.

You can watch my silly interview with Boldfacers here.

Best of Boston

Posted by punky on Tuesday August 3, 2010 at 11:28 am | Haberdash, New England, Note from punks |

We won, we won!!
My mobile vintage shop The Haberdash won a Boston Magazine award for Best Womans Vintage! I have been reading this magazine since high school for the inside scoop on what is cool in Boston and now we are listed amongst whats cool. I cant even begin to tell you what a honor it is to be mentioned.  I know I said in January that I cant imagine how I would top last years Best Dressed award and Chronicle appearance. But Best of Boston is a pretty good start!
It really is true what they say about doing what you love and following your passion…it can only lead to success.
Thank you to my family, friends and readers for your unconditional support and love!

May Fast

Posted by punky on Tuesday May 18, 2010 at 1:31 am | Random |

The month of May is just flying by for me. The Swapaholics hosted a huge Swap last weekend (the pictures are coming and they will be amazing). My friends and I had our first Puppreneurs play date (pups of entrepreneurs, Melissa made that up…clever huh). We took a trip to the Brimfield Flea Market to visit our friends from Artifaktori. This weekend I also had my first experience with a psychic (who said I will own a successful creative business…yay), went to a wedding and the Haberdash attended its first Worcester Arts Festival…FUN!
I snapped a few photos of this blur of a month:

Outfitted Limbofest

Posted by punky on Thursday May 6, 2010 at 9:56 am | Haberdash, Outfitted |

Limbo Fest was this past weekend and I was all excited to dress in my best music festival outfit…Then I remembered it was 80 degrees and I was working the festival not hanging out. So this was my second choice (less fussy) outfit.
