Sunday was the last day of the Texas Style Council Conference. It was an exciting and terrifying day for me. When Indiana asked me to moderate the Careers panel, I was super surprised. It’s funny how you dont realize the knowledge you have on a subject when you are just living life, doing what you do. I was completely nervous all weekend long about asking business questions to a fashion crowd. It can get real boring real fast. I also didn’t want to throw around all the nerdy start up terms that no one cares about (including me). So, I hope I didn’t bore you to much and if you have any questions about using your blog to launch your business, I do have loads of advice to offer, even if I cant eloquently convey it to a crowd of people.

Hey lady!
It was nice meeting you this weekend… and Adam gets 3 points for insisting on taking pedicabs. I am going to become wealthy and travel like that exclusively…
Ha… funny story. Kendi and I were thrifting in small town Texas and I found some leopard pants that were eerily similar to the ones you are wearing here. We both nodded at each other and said ‘Punky style’…
I know what you mean… I want to buy a pedi cab and frive my dogs around
I just bought this:

You’re Welcome
Amy, you did awesome moderating the panel! You have a lot of expertise to share for sure. And we all wanted to keep it real and not talk jargon, so you were perfect!
That outfit was amazing, BTW. I’m so sad I missed your panel! But I’m so glad we met! I just love you!
I love your coverage of the conference! I was there, and I’m definitely going to be a regular at your blog now. Also, I adore your outfit!
Sincerely,
Emily
This sounds like a great opportunity. Would love to be at something like this (do you know if there is the equivalent in Australia? If not, we need to get something happening here, lol!) Sounds like it was a huge success!
I am obsessing over those pants. I don’t have the balls to wear stuff like that. You ROCK girl!
I wish I could have been there! I struggle a lot with how to keep my blog being a style blog but also use it to promote my Etsy business. I’m always afraid I’m going to piss people off by marketing my items. I still have no idea what to do.
